THE PROBLEMS WE SOLVE

Sound familiar?

1

Your AI plan was
out of date

You planned with AI, but the details were old. You arrived, and the shop was closed.

Old info — the shop was closed.

2

The package felt
generic

You followed a package tour, but it was the same route as everyone else — never the real, hidden Japan.

Generic — never the real Japan.

3

So much was
off-limits

With a stroller or wheelchair, place after place was impassable — and the trip stopped being fun.

So many places impassable.

A family with a child, grandfather and a grandmother in a wheelchair looking unsure in front of a closed shop on a Japanese street.
THE ALLY DIFFERENCE

Born and raised in Japan, with 13 years in travel — I'll solve exactly these, and bring you a Japan experience you'll remember for life.

So I walk it first.

Wondering how?

I check the details
before you arrive.

Key routes and essential access points are personally checked on foot — with photographs, route notes, and real-world observations that online maps often miss — personally checked.

01
Station Access
Station exit to street
We document the easiest station exits, elevator routes, walking distances, and surface conditions — including wet-weather accessibility.
  • Elevator location from each platform
  • Step height & slope gradients
  • Surface condition (wet-weather)
  • Realistic walking time to venue

Venue & Route
Inside the experience
We identify essential accessibility points — including elevators, rest areas, and staff support locations — so you can move with confidence.
  • Full interior route mapping
  • Accessible toilet locations
  • Rest area positions
  • Staff assistance availability

04
Restaurant Pre-Check
Restaurants, researched
We verify entrance conditions and seating space to ensure comfort. "Probably fine" is not in our vocabulary.
  • Entrance step height
  • Table & seating accessibility
  • English menu observed
  • Allergy information observed online/on-site

"Travel without the guesswork."

— Hisayo Nakagawa, Founder

A family trip
changed everything.

Thirteen years in Japan's travel industry, and I thought I knew this country well.

Then I started traveling through busy stations, airports, and tourist areas with my own children — and realized how overwhelming Japan can feel for families and first-time visitors.

Elevators that were difficult to find. "Step-free" routes with unexpected stairs. Stations that looked simple online, but felt completely different with luggage, strollers, or tired children.

I began checking routes myself — walking stations, timing transfers, and learning the details guidebooks often miss.

Today, I use that experience to help travelers move through Japan with greater confidence, comfort, and peace of mind.

ALLY TRAVEL JAPAN exists for one reason: to check the details before you arrive — so you never have to guess.

矛盾

Japan's Accessibility
Paradox

Japan is considered one of the world's most accessible countries — yet navigating it can still feel overwhelming for families, seniors, and travelers with mobility needs. Both are true.

93%

of major stations have elevators

Yet finding them — through dense crowds, signage in Japanese, and labyrinthine corridors — remains a completely different challenge.

gap between "accessible" and accessible

Accessibility details can vary widely — and small obstacles often aren't visible online. A 5cm step, a narrow gate, a temporary construction barrier — all invisible until you arrive.

most visitors come just once

A trip to Japan is often a once-in-a-lifetime journey. There's rarely a second chance to experience Japan for the first time.
